Srinagar, Apr 24: Demanding quashing of the recent government order about the creation of Special Task Force (STF) to terminate the employees without any inquiry, Apni Party (AP) said such draconian decision undermine employee’s loyalty.

The recent administrative order for constituting a Special Task Force (STF) is arbitrary and unjustifiable, AP State Secretary Muntazir Mohi-ud-din said in a statement Saturday afternoon.

He said that such decisions create a feeling of alienation among the government employees who otherwise deliver their public services in a diligent manner.

“Such unwanted  decisions shall prove counterproductive as the government employees are the backbone of any public administration and introducing such moves against them is a matter of shame,,” he said.

He said that the J&K government must avoid introducing such controversial laws that only create a potential wedge between the government and public servants who provide unrelenting service to the public.

Muntazir said “There is no need for such capricious laws. If anyone is found committing any criminal or anti-national activity there exist enough provisions in the current laws through which such persons can be penalized”.

He urged the Lt Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha to review this draconian law and direct the competent authorities to quash this law at an earliest.

“If government employees are brought under the ambient of this irrational suspicion and dismissed without following a due course of law, then the repercussions will be serious. The government must repeal this decision so that the administrative machinery is not disrupted on the basis of hearsay,” the AP leader said.
