Jammu, May 11: To review the measures taken to control the upward trend of Covid-19 cases in the district, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of Arnia and Bishnah. He inspected the management of corona cases and facilities being provided to them in quarantine centers.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by DDC Chairman, BDC Chairman, Municipal Chairperson of both the areas besides SDM R.S Pura Ram Lal Sharma, SDM South Abhishek Abrol along with other officers of the concerned departments.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed measures being taken for management of Covid patients at containment zones and quarantine centers.
He visited Covid Care Centre set up in Border village of Trewa in Arnia with the active support of local Sarpanch.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited the Vaccination and Sampling site at RS Pura school to take stock of the daily progress.
The Deputy Commissioner also convened a meeting to review the house to house mopping exercise and sensitized the officials/workers to work with utmost zeal and dedication for achieving the desired results.
While reviewing the management of Covid cases, Anshul Garg gave on the spot instructions to deploy a dedicated team of doctors and para medical staff besides station round the clock ambulance service at quarantine centers to provide quick and better facilities to the patients.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited PHC Bishnah which is a dedicated Covid hospital and reviewed the level of preparedness to deal with the surge in Covid-19 cases.
