Ganderbal, Jun 22: The body of a youth was on Tuesday fished out from a water canal near Fraw Haknar Gund area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
An official said that a youth from Srinagar drowned in a water canal last evening while taking pictures, adding that the administration as well as the police immediately started a rescue operation to trace out the youth.
He added that the body of the youth identified as Salim Khan of Pandach Srinagar, was retrieved from the water canal today. Police has started further investigation in this regard to ascertain the actual cause of death.
