Budgam, Jul 9: Residents of Ladden Chadoora in Central Kashmir Budgam district Friday protested against the Roads and Building (R&B) department for failing to macadamize and repair Satmanu top.
The residents have alleged that authorities never pay interest in their requests.
The residents of the village said that the road is in dilapidated condition, as it has never been repaired nor macadamized.
They alleged that their 2 km long road from Satmanu top to Ladden has been neglected by the R & B department, though the 3 km road which comes after this road is being macadamized by PMGSY it is not more important than the neglected part.
“We took to the streets a number of times to press for our demands but all in vain as the concerned officials failed to take any step in this regard,” the locals said, adding that they also approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but no steps were taken to redress their demands.
“We apprised the R&B department about the bad condition of these roads but they did nothing,” locals said.
However, SDM Chadoora Noor ul Hameed reached on the spot during the protest and assured the protesters that their road will be repaired very soon.
