Masoodi tours health facilities in south Kashmir areas

Asks admin to perk up facilities in Local PHCs, TB centers, SDHs

Srinagar, Jul 12: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of Parliament from Anantnag (Retd) Justice Hasnain Masoodi on Monday conducted a detailed tour of various health facilities in Srigufwara, Sallar hamlets of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District.
During his hour’s long tour, he made brief stopovers at various Primary health facilities across the district. During the breadth of the tour, he reviewed the preparedness of various health institutions in view of the imminent Covid-19 third wave.
The Party’s Member of Parliament visited various public health centers and other medical facilities in the district, where he carried an on spot assessment of the facilities being made available to the COVID affected. While making stopovers at PHC Salia, Sallar, and Srigufwara, he assured the medical staff of solving their problems, which they brought to the notice of visiting MP on the occasion. He interacted with the patients and respective medical and paramedical staff at the health facilities he visited.
During his visit to the health facilities, Masoodi also assessed the pace of vaccination at all the health facilities in the district. It was reported to him that ample supply of vaccine is available at all the health facilities in the district and that the concerned health facilities are also prepared to deal with the imminent third wave of the Covid-19 virus. Masoodi rued the lack of awareness, health care facilities in rural areas of south Kashmir and asked the incumbent administration to go for mass awareness campaign among rural areas to stem out unawareness. He impressed upon the district administration to ensure availability of vaccines and testing kits forlorn hamlets at all the government designated Covid Care centers. Masoodi also released funds from his MPLADs to local health facilities for the procurement of critical medical equipment and other life saving gadgets.
On the occasion, he announced funds from his MPLADs to have a bore well dug at SHD Sallar.
