Srinagar, Jul 29: Senior political leader Shah Muhammad Tantray who had resigned from the primary membership of Peoples Democratic Party last year is likely to join Jammu Kashmir Apni Party on Friday.
Sources said that the former MLA from Poonch has decided to join the Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari led Apni Party after consulting his well-wishers and supporters.
They said Tantray has already reached Srinagar to join the Apni Party.
Pertinently, last year, the PDP had expelled Tantray and other party leaders including Dilawar Mir, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Zaffar Iqbal, Abdul Majeed Padroo, Raja Manzoor Khan, Javaid Hussain Baig, Qamar Hussain and Abdul Rahim Rather two days after they met the Lieutenant Governor under the leadership of former Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.
