Coronavirus: JK reports one death, 149 new cases

Srinagar, Aug 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Wednesday witnessed one death and 149 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,314.
With one more death the death toll in the UT has reached 4,385 and 149 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 322,014
Of the exact number of 322,014 cases, 200,018 are from Kashmir division and 121,996 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 149 new cases, 100 belong to Kashmir division while as 49 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 200,018 including 196,992 recoveries and 2,237 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 121,996 including 119,323 recoveries and 2,147 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,314 including 788 from Kashmir division and 526 from Jammu division.
With 127 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 316,315 which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 34 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla, 07 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 17 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 49 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu, 07 from Udhampur, 07 from Rajouri, 08 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 04 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 06 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 35.
One Covid death has been reported from SMHS Srinagar.
As per officials figures, 71,494 positive cases including 833 deaths and 70,330 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,685 including 282 deaths and 23,257 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,924 including 22,645 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,201 including 14,958 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,089 including 165 deaths and 13,895 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,332 including 16,089 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,491 cases including 9,365 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,945 including 9,801 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,272 including 11,131 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,585 including 5,521 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,805 including 51,553 recoveries and 1,139 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,310 including 11,145 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,964 including 10,671 recoveries and 226 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,303 including 7,063 recoveries and 127 deaths are from Doda, 9,265 including 9,109 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,123 including 7,001 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,654 including 4,579 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,269 including 6,147 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Poonch, 5,974 including 5,880 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,329 including 6,175 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,907,087 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,615 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,314 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,540,296 persons have completed the surveillance period and 353,477 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 11,947,718 samples are available. Out of 11,947,718 the number of samples tested negative stands at 11,625,704 while as 322,014 have tested positive, among them 1,314 persons are active, 316,315 persons have recovered and 4,385 persons have died.
