DC Kulgam visits far flung areas in Noorabad

Kulgam, Aug 4: In order to get first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Wednesday visited far-flung and rural areas of Noorabad area including D.K.Marg, Sanyadi, Lalpora, Humpathry and other villages in the area.
During his visit, a grievance redressal camp was also held at Panchayat recreation park of RDD here at D. K. Marg during which various public deputations from, Chimer, Gulzarabad, D.K.Marg Humpartri, Nagam and adjoining villages and many locals and PRI members called upon the Deputy Commissioner and raised their demands and apprised the Deputy Commissioner of various issues.
The issues raised by the deputations and individuals includes macadamization of rest of roads, construction of naibat ghar at Nagam, fencing of playfield at D.K.Marg, Separate deployment of snow cutter for Block D. K. Marg etc.
The DC after listening to various public demands directed concerned officers to ensure prompt and speedy redressal of the issues raised during the camp.
He assured that all issues within his competence will be redressed as early as possible whereas the other all genuine demands will be taken up at appropriate forums for their resolution.
Later the Deputy Commissioner inspected NTPHC complex at D. K. Marg which is under the Execution of Police Housing Corporation with an estimate cost of 1.88 crore.
He also inspected the playfield site at village Sanyadi which is under execution of the Rural Development Department and directed the concerned to submit an estimate for further funding for this playfield.
During his visit to Lalpora village people demanded a transformer for the village. They also demanded road augmentation and upgradation from Main chowk D. K. Marg.
Later the Deputy Commissioner visited Pachanpathri tourist spot where locals raised demand for construction of huts and road for this tourist spot.
They also apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the poor cellular network coverage.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the spot will be developed and facilities will be augmented soon.
During the visit, he was accompanied by ACD, ACR, CPO, Tehsildar, BDO and other officers.
