Silent tears and sacred memories

Getting inoculation has been made mandatory for the re-opening of higher educational institutions including colleges and universities. This way, the administration would not only be able to prevent Covid-19 from spreading, but would also ensure unhindered education at the institutions to the students. The health experts have been advising people to get inoculated so that the vaccine would help them in fighting the virus. It has been observed that the health condition of those who were fully vaccinated during the second Covid wave, didn’t get much affected, but had mild symptoms only, which helped them to overcome the situation easily. However, many people have still shown reluctance with regard to getting inoculations and are staying away from it, thus putting their lives as well as others at a great risk. The government has been putting its efforts to address vaccine hesitancy among the people, but a large number of people living across Jammu and Kashmir are not willing to accept the assurances of health experts as well as the government and thus simultaneously believe in myths with regard to the vaccine. Therefore, the government in order to ensure 100 per cent vaccination of people in all age groups, should make vaccine mandatory for each and every government related work so that the non-vaccinated people would not enter the premises where they could spread the virus. The administration should consider allowing only vaccinated people within the government departments, so that things can turn better on the ground ahead of the possible third wave prediction.
