DC Ganderbal inspects progress on various School Education projects

Ganderbal, Sep 18: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Saturday visited various sites to have a firsthand appraisal of progress on various ongoing developmental projects of School Education Department.
During the visit, the DC inspected multi-purpose Hall at Government Boys Hr. Sec. School Ganderbal, multi- storey buildings at Girls Hr. School Saloora and Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Wangath besides, Lift Irrigation Scheme at Kohistan Colony Safapora.
Executive Engineers of R&B and MID Srinagar, CEO and other concerned officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
While inspecting the progress made on Lift Irrigation Scheme at Kohistan Colony, Executive Engineer MID briefed the DC about the physical and financial progress on the project and informed that project is approved at the cost of RS 197 lakh under TAC-12 and 90 percent expenditure is done till date.
He further informed that after commissioning of the scheme 8 villages of Safapora area will be benefited.
The DC directed the concerned to expedite the progress so that project gets completed well on time.
While inspecting the progress on Multi-purpose Hall at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School approved at the cost of Rs 119.34 lakh having plinth area 3349 sft, Executive engineer R&B informed the DC that physical work is completed and project is ready for inauguration.
Later, the DC inspected the progress made on newly constructed 12 roomed 3 storey building at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Saloora and 10 roomed double storey building at Govt. Boys Hr Sec. School Wangath.
On the occasion, the concerned briefed the DC about the physical as well as financial progress of both the projects.
The DC gave necessary instruction to the concerned to expedite the progress on all ongoing projects of School Education Department so that the said projects get completed within fixed timeline.
