The district administration Srinagar in an order to prevent the Covid cases from spreading, has once again warned the people of following the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) in spirit, saying that the lockdown will be imposes again in the areas where people are not adhering to the Covid protocols and guidelines set by the health experts. Many of the shops and business establishments have been sealed by the district administration so far after they were found violating the norms. However, it seems the dealing of shops and imposing fine on the norm violators is no longer putting an end to the norm violation as the people could be seen flouting the norms and guidelines openly, thus keeping a risk of getting infected and also spreading the virus as well. One fails to understand why the people are not ready to adhere to the Covid guidelines, which is the only way out to prevent the virus from spreading. The people must wear the face masks and also adhere to other mandatory norms as well in an order to combat the virus. The administration instead of imposing the lockdown, should identify all these areas and ensure that strict action is taken against the norm violators as the lockdown would create chaos and add to the miseries of already affected traders and other community in Srinagar.
