J&K Tourism organizes promotional event at Ahmedabad

Ahmadabad, Sep 22: Continuing with its promotional campaign, Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department Wednesday organized a promotional campaign here in which good numbers of travel agents, representatives of prominent travel orgainsations like TAAI, TAFI, ADTOI, TAG etc representatives of Gujarat Film Industry and other stakeholders participated.
Earlier an interaction was also held with the print, electronic media fraternity of Ahmedabad as well.
The visiting officers, Natasha Kalsotra, Joint Director, Tourism Jammu and Mr. Masarat Hashim, CEO, Pahalgam Development Authority informed the delegates that the J & K Government is very keen to promote tourism and various tourism products of the Union Territory. They shared the post Covid scenario in Jammu & Kashmir and highlighted positive steps taken by the administration for the safety of the tourism stakeholders including vaccination campaigns and capacity building measures.
The officers, among other aspects, also briefed the participants about the addition of new destinations besides formulating a new film policy. All the relevant information was shared with the representatives of the Film Industry in order to encourage them to visit and shoot in J&K.
A cycling event at Sabarmati River front was also organized. Officers of the Tourism Department, local travel trade fraternity, local boys wearing tourism promotional outfits participated in the event.
The local media was briefed about the tourism products & upcoming 75 festivals scheduled to be organized soon.
