SPREAD-A mission for new destinations

The Government is yet to achieve cent per cent of vaccination coverage in the case of Health Care Workers as well as Frontline Workers for reasons that are better known to the people in the administration. However, while the Government is asking people time and again to get themselves vaccinated and is making the vaccination pre-requisite for several services, there still are several HCWs who have not even received a single vaccine dose, with many roaming around without being fully vaccinated. The COVID positive cases are once again rising with Srinagar reporting the majority of the positive cases no matter from just a few clusters, but the things appear to be going south all over again. Amid such a situation, while the schools, colleges and even Universities have opened for the physical classes, things have now become a bit challenging as well as tricky. While the vaccination has been made mandatory for the physical attendance at the educational institutions, there is no effective mechanism in place to ascertain the authenticity of the vaccination certificates that are being produced by the students as well as the teachers, in some cases though. There is a need to take things seriously and first, take measures to achieve 100 per cent vaccination concerning the HCWs and the FLWs. Then take effective measures to cross-check the vaccination certificates that are produced by the students as well as teachers.
