Qazigund, Oct 7: A UBGL shell was found and later defused in Mir Bazar area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Official sources said that the shell was detected at Malpora Mir bazar by locals following which police was called and they later informed the BDS.
“The BDS rushed to the spot and defused the shell without any damage,” they said.
Notably, a non-local militant was killed in an encounter on August 13 this year at the same spot.
