Communal harmony only way to defeat enemies: Dr Farooq

Srinagar, Oct 13: National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that communal harmony is the only way to defeat all the enemies of the nation, while stating that communal divide will lead India to destruction.
While talking to reporters after visiting the residence of decease teacher, Supinder Kour at Aloochi Bagh he said that these elements which are behind the recent civilian killings will never succeed. “With unity and brotherhood, we have to fight against such elements. The only aim of these elements is to divide the people of the Balley on the grounds of religion. We should not let it happen”.
He said that communal harmony is the only way to defy the divide and rule policy. “This divide and rule politics will lead to destruction of our nation. The future of India only lies in the harmony of every religion otherwise it would have disastrous results for India. In order to built a successful and prosperous nation, we have to live in harmony and fight in unity against the enemies of our nation.”
Replying to a question about Devender Rana and Surjeet Singh Salathia parting ways with the NC, he said that this is politics, and these things keep happening in politics.
Notably, Dr Farooq Abdullah today visited the family of a lady teacher, Suprinder Kour who was killed by unknown gunmen last week inside school premise in Eidgah area of Srinagar. (KNS)
