Srinagar, Nov 12: At least three officers of the Transport department including ARTO Kupwara, were on Friday placed under suspension.
The officers were placed under suspension with regard to the case registered against them by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) under FIR number 09/2021 P/S Anti Corruption Bureau.
According to an order issued in this regard, “Pending enquiry, the following officer/officials of Transport Department are hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule-31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.”
The suspendees include Mohammad Mukhtar Sofi, ARTO, Kupwara, Khursheed Ahmad Kanna, Motor Vehicle Inspector and Abdul Hamid Bhat, Motor Vehicle Inspector.
“It is further ordered that the Transport Department shall initiate departmental proceedings (RDA) against the suspended officer/officials in terms of extant rules.
During suspension, the suspended shall remain attached with the Office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir,” the order added. (KNO)
