Bhatnagar reviews physical, financial progress of JKPCC projects

Directs for adherence to costs, completion dates

Jammu, Nov 12: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar Friday reviewed the physical and financial progress of various development projects of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) in a meeting at Civil Secretariat here.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, PWD, Shailendra Kumar; Managing Director JKPCC, Development Commissioner Works, J&K, Chief Engineer R&B, Jammu/Kashmir, General Manager, JKPCC, Deputy General Managers and other officials of JKPCC.
While assessing the physical and financial progress of various projects, Advisor Bhatnagar instructed the officers to increase the pace of work on all ongoing projects so that they are completed on timely basis.
Calling upon the officers to conduct regular site visits of ongoing projects to check their progress, Advisor Bhatnagar directed the MD JKPCC to handover all completed projects to the intending departments so that they can be dedicated for public use.
Highlighting on the need for bringing reforms in the corporation, the Advisor delved upon the management of corporation to ensure that it always maintains quality and adheres to cost and completion dates while ensuring transparency at all levels.
During the meeting, Advisor Bhatnagar also reviewed five year business plan prepared by IIM Jammu for the smooth functioning of the corporation.
Managing Director JKPCC during the meeting informed the Advisor that 32 projects were completed by JKPCC from January 2021 to October 2021 while as 39 more projects will be completed by March-2022. The meeting was also informed that JKPCC executed works to the tune of Rs. 158.27 Crores till October month of current financial year (2021-2022).
