Rising Cyber threats in J&K

Almost a decade has elapsed since the government rehabilitated dozens of families from world famous Dal Lake to a locality in Bemina area of Srinagar, known as Rakhi Arth. However, in the last ten years, nothing has changed for the people living in the vicinity as from roads to electricity to water is still not up to the mark as the residents have yet again hit the streets here, demanding the basic facilities. No doubt that these families were not hailing from a well developed area, but keeping them away from the basic amenities even after the passage of ten years, is only leaving them to lurch at large. One fails to understand why the government has rehabilitated the people living in the locality when they are not able to fulfill their promises for a long time. Although the administration has promised redressal of their grievances in a shortest possible time, but the residents have raised concerns with regard to graveyard in the locality, claiming that the allotted land for the graveyard is now being used for the residential plots, which would certainly land the dwellers to face hardships as there would be no place available for them to bury the deceased within the locality. Besides ensuring all the basic facilities, the government should consider allotting the land back for the graveyard purpose so that the local populace there could heave a sigh of relief. Like others, the people living in the particular area also deserve better facilities and the government must take up the matter with the concerned quarters to ensure that their decade-long miseries will come to an end.
