Coronavirus: JK reports 5 deaths, 133 new cases

Srinagar, Dec 16: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported five deaths and 133 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,435.
With five more deaths, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,508 and 133 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,404.
Of the exact number of 339,404 cases, 213,668 are from Kashmir division and 125,736 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 133 new cases, 102 belong to Kashmir division while as 31 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 213,668 including 210,275 recoveries and 2,316 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,736 including 123,186 recoveries and 2,192 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,435 including 1,077 from Kashmir division and 358 from Jammu division.
With 139 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,461 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 48 from Srinagar, 24 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 31 from Jammu division include 19 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 05 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,133 positive cases including 878 deaths and 76,755 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,772 including 290 deaths and 25,283 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,388 including 24,104 recoveries and 214 deaths are from Budgam, 15,671 including 15,433 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,875 including 167 deaths and 14,629 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,704 including 16,481 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,105 cases including 9,941 and 108 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,867 including 10,688 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,537 including 11,406 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,616 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,925 including 52,560 recoveries and 1,154 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,457 including 11,307 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,356 including 11,100 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,995 including 7,826 recoveries and 135 deaths are from Doda, 9,373 including 9,212 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,172 including 7,046 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,844 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,574 including 6,432 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,060 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,980 including 6,922 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,919,406 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,307 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,435 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,476,430 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,726 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,487,803 samples are available. Out of 18,147,803 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,148,399 while as 339,404 have tested positive, among them 1,435 persons are active, 333,461 persons have recovered and 4,508 persons have died.
