Coronavirus: One death, 105 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Dec 20: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported one death and 105 fresh positive cases of COVID-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,363.
With one more death, the death toll in J&K has reached to 4,513 and 105 fresh positive cases reported on Monday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,932.
Of the exact number of 339,932 cases, 214,065 are from Kashmir division and 125,867 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 105 new cases, 78 belong to Kashmir division while as 27 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 214,065 including 210,719 recoveries and 2,319 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,867 including 123,337 recoveries and 2,194 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,363 including 1,027 from Kashmir division and 336 from Jammu division.
With 192 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 334,056 which is 98.27 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 31 from Srinagar, 06 from Baramulla, 10 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 16 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 27 from Jammu division include 19 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,323 positive cases including 879 deaths and 76,939 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,824 including 290 deaths and 25,359 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,424 including 24,147 recoveries and 214 deaths are from Budgam, 15,681 including 15,451 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,901 including 167 deaths and 14,604 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,714 including 16,489 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,127 cases including 9,969 and 109 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,817 including 10,737 recoveries and 81 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,538 including 11,409 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,616 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,987 including 52,637 recoveries and 1,154 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,464 including 11,314 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,364 including 11,110 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 8,010 including 7,841 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Doda, 9,378 including 9,218 recoveries and 153 deaths are from Kathua, 7,174 including 7,051 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,846 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,579 including 6,453 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,068 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,997 including 6,932 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,008,914 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,967 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,363 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,564,694 persons have completed the surveillance period and 430,377 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,704,749 samples are available. Out of 18,704,749 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,364,817 while as 339,932 have tested positive, among them 1,363 persons are active, 334,056 persons have recovered and 4,513 persons have died.
