Rajouri, Dec 30: Two passengers, including a minor girl were killed while 11 other person sustained injuries in an accident that took place at Gambhir Brahmana in Rajouri, officials said Thursday.
Officials said that an accident took place on Thursday afternoon when a bus bearing number JK02AE 3393 was on way to Gambhir-Mughlan in Manjakote tehsil from Rajouri bus stand reached Kakora Pulli morh, the driver attempted to cross the bus rashly due to which he lost his control over bus that turned turtle in the middle of the highway.
“A 12-year-old minor among two person were killed in the accident who have been identified as Ruksana (12) daughter of Ishaq Mohammad resident of Chowkian Rajouri and Sheraz (21) son of Din Mohammad resident of Manjakote Galuti,” the officials said.
They said that the injured who are under treatment in GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri have been identified by police as Mohammad Din (75), Mohin Khan (18), Hamide Begum (55), Mohammad Din (60), Amir Ahmed (18), Aftab Ahmed (30), Nazira Begum (50), Shabina Akhter (25), Danish (28), Mohammad Ayoub (35) and Shahid Ahmed (17).
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law in police station Manjakote.
