Directs for intensifying anti-encroachment drive to retrieve State, Kacharie land

Srinagar, Jan 5: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Wednesday chaired a meeting to take a detailed review of Revenue matters pertaining to Srinagar District at DC Office Complex, here.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad was also present in the meeting who briefed the chair about the progress about the Revenue department of the district.
During the meeting, the Div Com was informed through a detailed PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) about the functioning of the Revenue Department and current status of various Revenue matters and measures taken to further improve the Revenue related services to the public.
The Div Com took a detailed review of all vital matters including status of Grievances redressal mechanism, status of pending Court cases, pending land Acquisition cases, Revenue issues/pending Mutations of Army/ Security Forces, status of Audit Paras, implementation of e-Office, issues regarding Nazool Land/ Custodian Land/ Migrant Properties, holding of camps and attestation of mutations, progress with regard to implementation SVAMITVA, Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme, progress of digitization of Jamabandis/ Girdawari, Missing Land Record, Status of Patwar Khana, implementation of Transfer Policy, Physical Verification of Stocks/stores, details of Administrative Inspection, status of RDA Enquiries, Vacancy position and conduct of DPC.
On the occasion, the Div Com directed all the Tehsildars to intensify the anti-encroachment drive so that all identified encroached state/kahcharie land is retrieved from the land grabbers in a time bound manner. He also passed directions to fix responsibility on the concerned regarding missing Masavis. He also asked to maintain a proper repository /inventory of handover/takeover to keep handy reference about the officials holding the charges at Tehsil level. He asked them to transfer the retrieved land to the Government Departments with proper mutations of the transferred land for use of official purposes.
The Div Com also directed to submit details of Kacharie land as per the given format so that an appropriate plan for its retrieval and usage is formulated.
While reviewing the progress of Jamabandies, the Div Com was informed that the Jamabandies of all 137 villages of Srinagar district have been updated by the concerned Tehsildars and submitted to the Regional Director Survey Land Records for digitization, out of 137 Girdawaries 87 have been prepared while remaining 50 Girdawaries are yet to be written.
With regard to progress achieved under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme(DILRMP), the chair was informed that 2878648 revenue documents have been scanned out of which 2294892 have been approved, similarly 1605 Masavies have also been scanned and approved while 610 Masavies have also been digitized so far.
The Div Com was also given the latest update about the status of redressal of online/offline Grievances particularly about Migrant properties.
Regarding properties/land under Wakaf Board and Wakaf Council, the Div Com was informed that 100 percent Wakaf properties/land record has Geo tagged, while the process of digitizing land/properties under Wakaf Council is also being Geotagged.
The Div Com directed the Revenue Officers of Srinagar District to follow the instruction with added zeal and dedication and complete the target within 15 days.
Speaking on the occasion, the Div Com said updation of Revenue record is a core work of Revenue Department and is also a basic requirement of every household for which coordinated team work is key to achieve set targets in a time bound manner. He said performance of Revenue Officers will be strictly monitored on the parameters of updataion of revenue records and purification of records preceding digitisation.
The Div Com asked all the Tehsildars to ensure quality disposal of all online/offline Grievances particularly about Migrant properties in a time bound manner.
