Rising Cyber threats in J&K

The past two years remained quite chaotic in Jammu and Kashmir as the government ordered imposition of curbs in the Union Territory frequently in order to prevent the deadly virus, Covid-19 from spreading. Moreover, the administration has once again ordered imposition of curbs on non essential movement after the Covid cases recorded a surge in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last three days, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir recorded over 1300 positive cases, putting the administration, especially the health department on toes again. The surge in cases from the last couple of days have created panic as with the spike in cases, it is expected that more preventive measures will be taken in the coming days to prevent the virus from spreading. The imposition of curbs is the extreme step, but the administration is left with no option as the people are openly violating the set guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, which paves way for the virus to infect more and more people. Therefore, the people must have to obey the rules to ensure that the curbs are not tightened further. Moreover, the health department should ramp up the health facilities and testing capacity across Jammu and Kashmir, especially at the twin airports in the Union Territory and along the Srinagar-Jammu highway, so that the travelers, who are infected, would be kept in isolation at the apt time. The contacts as well as the suspects should be identified at the shortest possible time so that further restrictions are not imposed in J&K.
