Coronavirus: JK reports 7 deaths, 547 new cases

Srinagar, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported seven deaths and fresh 547 cases pushing the number of active cases to 8,512 in the UT.
With seven more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,739 and 547 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 449,333.
Of the exact number of 449,333 cases, 285,669 are from Kashmir division and 163,664 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 547 new cases, 240 belong to Kashmir division while as 307 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 285,669 including 278,026 recoveries and 2,419 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 163,664 including 158,056 recoveries and 2,320 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 8,512 including 5,225 from Kashmir division and 3,288 from Jammu division.
With 2,258 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 436,082 which is 97.05 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 103 from Srinagar, 16 from Baramulla, 22 from Budgam, 17 from Pulwama, 28 from Kupwara, 11 from Anantnag, 15 from Bandipora, 19 from Ganderbal, 08 from Kulgam and 01 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 307 from Jammu division include 176 from Jammu district, 13 from Udhampur, 09 from Rajouri, 22 from Doda, 17 from Kathua, 12 from Samba, 12 from Kishtwar, 04 from Poonch, 39 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 101,577 positive cases including 906 deaths and 98,649 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,437 including 304 deaths and 36,164 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,636 including 34,036 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,372 including 17,990 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,530 including 173 deaths and 20,982 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,365 including 21,690 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,615 cases including 13,221 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,585 including 13,265 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,264 including 15,921 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,288 including 6,108 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,092 including 72,441 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,605 including 14,386 recoveries and 146 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,738 including 12,408 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,865 including 9,894 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,272 including 10,913 recoveries and 165 deaths are from Kathua, 9,047 including 8,772 recoveries and 124 deaths are from Samba, 5,807 including 5,686 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,695 including 7,448 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 7,910 including 7,623 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,633 including 8,485 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,922,581 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 29,962 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 8,512 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,441,141 persons have completed the surveillance period and 438,227 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 22,135,755 samples are available. Out of 22,135,755 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21,686,422 while as 449,333 have tested positive, among them 8,512 persons are active, 436,082 persons have recovered and 4,739 persons have died.
