Baramulla, Feb 11: With an aim to get first hand appraisal of various developmental indicators and parameters identified under Aspirational District Programme (ADP), the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Friday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers at Dak Bungalow, here.
During the meeting, the DC took sector wise review of various schemes and programmes being carried out in the district more especially in Uri and Singapora Blocks.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion with regard to the progress of the Blocks was discussed wherein the DC directed the concerned officers to work with added zeal and cohesion in order to achieve the indicators mentioned in the Aspirational District. While reviewing the sector wise progress of the district, the DC said that two blocks of Uri and Singapora lack some indicators under Aspirational District Programme which include education, basic infrastructure, agriculture more especially in health and nutrition where more focus is needed to achieve the targets.
While asserting that the indicator of health and nutrition is to be prioritized in the district and especially in Uri and Singapora Blocks, the DC directed the Chief Medical Officer for mobilising service of Asha Workers for achieving cent percent registration of Golden Cards so that the common people can avail the benefits of these schemes that aims to extend health insurance coverage to all general people.
Meanwhile, various issues hampering the path of overall progress in these Blocks were thoroughly discussed in the meeting which the DC assured that all the impediments shall be taken into consideration for their timely redressal so as to achieve the level of saturation in the indicators.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning M.Yousuf Rather, General Manager DIC Mohammad Asadullah Rather, SDM Uri Harvinder Singh, SDM Pattan Syed Faheem, ACD Yaar Ali Khan, CMO, Dr Bashir Ahmad Malik, besides various concerned officers of the district.
