Srinagar, May 13: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday terminated three more employees from their services ‘in the interest of the security of the State’.
Principal Secretary to the Government for General Administration Department (GAD) in this regard issued three separate orders.
In one of the orders, the government said that the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of the information available, that the activities of Ghulam Rasool, SgCt of JK Police are such as to warrant his dismissal from service.
“The Lieutenant Governor is satisfied under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of the security of the State, it is not expedient to hold an enquiry in the case and accordingly is dismissed from service with immediate effect,” it reads.
In two other separate orders, GAD terminated Mohd Maqbool Hajam, Teacher of School Education Department and Altaf Hussain Pandit, Professor in Chemistry Department at University of Kashmir.
Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir government has sacked eleven employees in July 2021 for terror links.
According to the details available, among the total of 11 terminated employees, four were from south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, three from central Kashmir’s Budgam district, one each from north Kashmir’s Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara district respectively.
Likewise, in September-2021, six more employees were terminated from the services in the interest of security of the State.
Similarly, in the last week of October 2021, the Jammu and Kashmir government dismissed eight employees on corruption and misconduct charges.
In March-2022, the administration further sacked five employees for having alleged terror links.
