JK hospitals gets advance payment of Rs 300 Cr to procure machinery, drugs

Srinagar, Jun 30: The Health and Medical Education department has accorded sanction for advance withdrawal of around 300 crore for procurement of drugs and other instruments besides machinery and equipment.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the advance drawl of 299.60 crore (Rupees two hundred ninety nine crore sixty lakh only) by Director Finance, Health & Medical Education Department against the available funds for the current financial year (2022-23) for onward placement of these funds with the Managing Director, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd, J&K,” reads the order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal Secretary to the government.
“The sanction shall be subject to the conditions that Managing Director and the FA / Chief Accounts Officer, J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited, J&K, shall vouchsafe the availability of funds, The expenditure shall be booked on admissible items only as approved by the competent authority after observing all the required codal formalities, all the codal formalities as per GFR 2017 shall be followed while incurring expenditure out of the funds, the funds shall be utilized for the specific purpose only without any deviation, UCs / Red Accounts of the advance drawl shall be furnished to the concerned quarters within stipulated time and the drugs/ machinery equipment shall be made available by the J&K-MSCL to the respective HoDs as per their requisition, which shall be commensurate to the funds earmarked against each in the annexure to this order.”
As per order, the amount includes 1400 lakhs for machinery and 1500 lakhs for drugs each for GMC Srinagar and Jammu , 1738.75 lakhs for machinery and 5075 lakhs for drugs each for associated hospitals Srinagar and associated hospitals Jammu, 5 lakh machinery and 2.5 lakh for drugs each for Government Ayurvedic hospital Jammu and Government Unani Medical College Srinagar.
Furthermore amount includes 535 lakhs for machinery and 2200 lakhs for drugs for Directorate of Health Services Kashmir and 500 lakh for machinery and 2100 lakhs for drugs for Directorate of Health Services Jammu.
50 lakh and 15 lakh for Government Dental College Srinagar and 75 lakh and 25 lakh for Govt Dental college Jammu beside that 5 lakh and 500 lakh for Director Ayush J&K for procurement of machinery and drugs respectively, amount adds.
7.5 lakh for machinery and 5 lakh for drugs controller, drugs and food control organization besides 500 lakh and 400 lakh each for GMC Rajouri, Baramulla, Kuthua, Anantnag and Doda for procurement of machinery and drugs respectively.
