DC Bandipora reviews post-delimitation exercises

Bandipora, Jul 13: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed who is also District Election Officer (DEO) on Wednesday convened a meeting with representatives of various political parties at mini secretariat, here.
The meeting was convened to review the progress of the post-delimitation exercises including rationalization of polling stations and publication of a draft list of polling stations.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues including summary revision, accessibility of polling stations besides other necessary issues related to elections
The meeting was informed that Bandipora District has 03 Assembly constituencies with 300 Polling Stations.
Dr. Owais informed the representatives of political parties that a list of draft polling stations after delimitation has been released and asked them to submit their suggestions and objections within one week.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, officials of Election Department and representatives of BJP, NC, LJP, JKAP and other political parties.
