Preparing young officers for emerging policing challenges priority: Haseeb Mughal

Rajouri, Jul 13: With a vision of preparing young police officers for the emerging policing challenges, an introductory meeting with probationary Sub Inspectors undergoing their probation in Rajouri was held in the conference hall of DPL Rajouri on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by Dr M Haseeb Mughal, DIG Rajouri Poonch Range. The meeting was also attended by SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam, Addl SP Vivek Shekhar, DySP Hqr Vinod Sharma, DySP DAR Parupkar Singh, DySP Parvez Alam Staff office to DIG and other office staff of RPHQ Rajouri.
After a brief introduction of the 28 young probationary SIs, a detailed plan of action was presented by the DIG RP Range.
The officers were apprised of the emerging challenges for Policing in the border District Rajouri.
Starting from the border infiltration to drug smuggling, they were briefed about the modus operandi of such anti national activities & elements.
Elaborating on the day to day challenges, the participants were informed about the Traffic management issues, Bovine smuggling, land & sand mafia- and the ways to tackle these challenges.
Officers were also made to understand the role of different Govt wings and agencies operating in the District and the role of each of them. It was emphasised that synergy among all such units/wings is the need of the hour to make the District peaceful.
A sense of camaraderie and bonhomie is to be developed to make things happen… in the latest interest of the public.
The cyber crime and the investigation of such cases was discussed threadbare. The need to upgrade knowledge and skills regarding Cyber and digital forensics was emphasised.
Officers were briefed about the need for healthy Police Public relations and youth engagement programs in the Range.
At the end, SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam thanked the DIG Dr M Haseeb Mughal for sparing his valuable time for impart quality policing knowledge to the young officers. (KNO)
