Enthusiastic students, youth participate in grand Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign at Tral

Pulwama, Aug 11: Continuing with the fervor and festivities of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – celebrating 75 years of Independence, thousands of youth and students participated at a grand event showcasing of National flags and singing patriotic songs at Tral here.
Commissioner Secretary, RDD, Mandeep Kaur also participated in the grand event in which more than more than 15000 school children and youth also took part and sang beautiful patriotic songs.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary said that the idea behind the initiative is to invoke a sense of ownership in the people and to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari (community participation). She highlighted that the campaign aims to evoke the idea of hoisting the National Flag among citizens at their homes between August 13 and 15.
Mandeep Kaur also remarked that the idea behind Har Ghar Tiranga activities is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag among them. She also hailed the role of youth and the general public for making the campaign a mass movement.
The Commissioner Secretary highlighted that the active participation of youth and students has helped in making the campaign a grand success. She also invoked the ideas of freedom struggle among the participants and urged upon youth to cherish and follow those ideals.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary said that various events involving people from all walks of life will be organized at various locations connected with the freedom struggle. He added that a series of activities like rallies, debates, quiz, painting competitions and cultural programmes are being held throughout the district to promote the campaign.
The DC appreciated the role of schools in making Har Ghar Tiranga a successful movement and said that the active participation of the youth has made the campaign a success in the district. He urged all the stakeholders to cooperate and coordinate in order to make the Har Ghar Tiranaga initiative a grand success in the district.
During the event, Girls students from various schools evoked a lot of enthusiasm from the participants for the campaign.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama , Chief Education Officer, Pulwama District Sports officer and other concerned also participated in the event.
