Timebound grievance redressal top priority of administration: DC Baramulla

Baramulla, Aug 31: Asserting that the timely redressal of public grievances remains top most priority of District Administration, the Deputy commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Wednesday reiterated that every effort is being made to streamline the public service delivery by involving every stakeholder of the society through public outreach programmes.
The DC made these remarks during the first ever Town Diwas chaired by her at dak Bunglow Baramulla in order to evoke the public feedbacks pertaining different public issues/ demands. The Town Divas is the replication of of Block Diwas which is being organised by the administration at Block level.
President, Municipal Council Baramulla, Touseef Raina and different stakeholders including PRIs, civil society members, among other prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
Senior superintendent of police Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Joint Director Planning M.Yousuf Rather, various concerned officers also attended the programme.
On the occasion, the people highlighted various issues and grievances before the DC meant for the overall welfare and socio-economic development of the town.
The Public Representatives raised various issues before the DC including improvement in water and electricity supply, macdamization of main and link roads, education and healthcare facilities.
After listening to the grievances and issues of the general public, the DC issued on spot directions to the concerned officers of line departments to look into the issues of the people so that they are redressed on priority.
The People also raised various demands of their pursuits during which the DC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal.
Moreover, the DC also exhorted upon the concerned officers to work with Zeal and cohesion in order to accomplish the developmental works. She also directed all the departments to ensure fully coordination with PRIs to achieve the targets.
