Kupwara, Sep 13: The body of a 25-year-old youth was found hanging at his home in Gutlipora village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
An official said that the body of the youth was found hanging at his home in Gutlipora. “However, in an attempt to rescue him, his family rushed him to the district hospital Kupwara where doctors declared him dead,” he said.
He said that after conducting the legal formalities the body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
While identifying the deceased as Jaffar Ahmad Najar, son of Wali Mohammad Najar, the official said that police have started an investigation into the matter and are trying to ascertain the reason behind his death. (KNO)
