Srinagar, Sep 21: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 20 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 161 while no more death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,785.
An official said that among 20 new cases, 11 belong to Kashmir division while as 09 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 305,058 including 302,524 recoveries and 2,433 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,934 including 171,522 recoveries and 2,352 deaths. He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 161 including 101 from Kashmir division and 60 from Jammu division.
With 31 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 474,046 which is 98.97 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 20 cases today, 03 are from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 03 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 09 are from Jammu division that include 06 from Jammu district, 01 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kuthua , 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,794,152 persons in J&K are under observation while 551 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 161 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,788,057 persons have completed the surveillance period and 598 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,614,654 samples are available.
“Out of 26,614,654 the number of samples tested negative stands at 26,135,662 while 478,992 have tested positive, among them 161 cases are active, 474,046 have recovered and 4,785 persons have died,” it added.
