“This yatra is national Padyatra, our leader Rahul Gandhi has already announced that come what may, he will go entire route of the country including J&K,” he said, adding that today a meeting was held in Srinagar to review the preparations for the yatra while the party leaders also met the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha yesterday. “It was a good meeting with LG Manoj Sinha. He offered all sort of cooperation for this yatra,” he said.
“I am very happy to say that Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Tarigami among others are ready to join the yatra, which is the happiest moment for us. All the like-minded people are joining the yatra and every day the impact of yatra is increasing,” he added.
Pertinently, K.C.Venugopal MP and J&K Incharge Rajani Patil MP held detailed discussions on the upcoming Bharat Jodo Yatra with Party leaders here in Srinagar today. AICC General Secretary (Org) also received feedback with regard to ongoing preparations and arrangements being made for the successful conduct of Yatra.
K.C.Venugopal had a brief discussion about the mobilization while terming the Yatra a socio-political initiative to protect the idea of India. He declared that people from different political parties believing in the core ideology of INC will join this Yatra, as that, the Yatra was hope for all Indians.
