Anantnag, Jan 18: The public interaction programmes under weekly Block Diwas were Wednesday held at Vessu and Bijbehara blocks of the Anantnag district.
At Vessu, the event was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani who gave a patient hearing to the large gathering of people. The ADDC directed the officials from various departments to ensure time bound redressal of grievances.
On the occasion, a pledge was also administered by the ADDC whereby all officials pledged to exert their best ability for fulfilling goals of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat presided over the Block Diwas at Block Bijbehara. He was accompanied by BDO Bijbehara.
The ADC listened to the grievances aired by the people. He issued on spot directions for redressal of grievances. A pledge under the BBBP programme was administered here also.
The event at both places witnessed participation of a large gathering of local people and PRIs. Besides, officials from various line departments were also present on the occasion.
