Poonch, Mar 31: Bomb Disposal Squad defused a mortar shell after it was recovered by laborers beneath the ground during construction work near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu region.
Police sources said that some laborers were digging the earth at Shahpur village of Poonch and during the process they found an old mortar shell.
Police were informed, that rushed to the area. Subsequently, Bomb Disposal Squad destroyed the unexploded old shell that is believed to be fired by Pakistan years ago. [KNT]
