Srinagar, Apr 10: With an overall pass percentage of over 96 percent, State Council of Educational Research and Training on Monday declared the results 8th standard in both hard and soft zones of Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
In both hard and soft zones, at least 95.02 percent students from the government schools have qualified the exams including 93.85 in Jammu division and 95.85 in Kashmir division respectively.
SCERT also said that 98.58 percent students of private schools in both soft and hard zones have also qualified the exams. “97.84 percent students of private schools from Jammu and 95.53 from Kashmir division qualified the exams.”
The official said that a total of 17,554,7 students were enrolled for the exams and 16,956,4 candidates qualified the exams.
In the previous week, KNO reported that Jammu and Kashmir State Council for Educational Research and Training (JK-SCERT) is likely to announce results of 8th standard on April-10.
Pertinently, the Board of School Education (BOSE) has identified 444 such schools in the both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir for which annual regular examinations will be held in the month of April instead of March.
Besides, the Board has also declared the whole Leh district of Union Territory of Ladakh as a hard zone and has accordingly directed to conduct the exams in the Month of April.
It also said that the annual regular examination of hard zones or such areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh shall be held in the month of April.
