Srinagar, Apr 11: The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JK-SCERT) has formulated Syllabus-cum-Academic Calendar for Academic Session 2023-24 upto 8th standard.
Director of JK-SCERT has said, “National Education Policy 2020 envisages shift from rote learning to competency and experiential based learning in schooling which require proper planning and thorough understanding of mechanism for teaching learning process at school level.”
“JK-SCERT has accordingly, formulated and designed ‘Syllabus-cum-Academic Calendar for Academic Session 2023-24 up to Class 8th’ in sync with learning outcomes mapped with the contents of prescribed subject and class wise text books of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE),” reads the notification issued by the director.
It reads, “This Syllabus-cum-Academic Calendar for Academic Session 2023-24 up to Class 8th will serve as a guide for ensuring uniformity.”
“It will also help teachers as well as students in achieving the desired competencies within prescribed timelines,” it reads.
