Prioritizing perishable cargo

A decade of Digital India

Despite the ban imposed by the government, the teachers, deputed at different government-run-schools, continue to disobey the norms by giving private tuitions to the children at their respective coaching centres. Nobody understands the reason and the need to come up with the private coaching for the students as the students enrolled in the government schools are not getting the actual treatment they deserve and require, but are seemingly being ignored by the teachers, who prefer the private coaching centres, instead of imparting better education to the children at government schools. In the past couple of days, the government has tightened noose against the government teachers and have suspended them after they were found teaching at private coaching centres. In one such instance, a teacher at Middle School Garoora currently deployed at Model Boys Higher Secondary Anantnag was suspended for teaching at a private coaching centre in Anantnag district of south Kashmir. Also, two teaching personnel were found involved in private coaching at SCI Pulwama on May 18, 2023, contrary to the service rules and repeated directions from the department to desist from the practice, and thus were put under suspension. The back-to-back actions have sent a message to the teaching community that no such violations are tolerable and all those found involved in such acts will be dealt with as per the law. It is a time when the government should launch a special drive in this regard and identify all the teachers, who are involved in private teaching, so that action is taken against them. Also, the drive against them would certainly help in improving the quality of teaching at the government run schools in Jammu & Kashmir.
