Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a mega event in Srinagar where the delegates from different countries participated and praised the beauty of the Union Territory while the focus remained on the promotion of tourism here. The Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is blessed with an enormous number of picturesque locations, where the film shootings have taken place in the past several decades, but the government is pushing hard to ensure that the place witnesses further increase in the film shootings here. At this juncture, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has stated that the administration led by him has revived film tourism under the film policy 2021 to open the gates of ‘paradise’ for Bollywood and Hollywood. Therefore, the government has paved the way for the shootings in Jammu & Kashmir, which attracts the movie makers all across. The event that took place in Srinagar is expected to give a further boost to the film shootings in Jammu & Kashmir as several Indian actors were seen sharing the platform at SKICC here, who wished to work in Jammu & Kashmir further. At this juncture, the central government as well as the J&K government need to take immediate and necessary measures to woo the movie makers for shooting in J&K so that the employment avenues are opened up for the local youth here. The increase in the shootings here would also help to increase the footfall of tourists from across the country and the other countries as well. Therefore, the document being prepared in this regard should be completed at a pace so that the motive is achieved in the shortest possible time.
