He said that the weather forecasts have undergone a lot of changes in the past week. “The prevailing dry weather conditions are anticipated to persist until the upcoming weekend, due to which Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience a significant rise in temperature. In Kashmir valley plains, temperatures may cross 34 degree Celsius, while in Jammu plains, daytime temperatures could potentially reach up to 43 degree Celsius,” he said.
He added that the southwest monsoon is anticipated to arrive around Sunday. “From Sunday evening to Wednesday, there is a high likelihood of rain showers in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu region is expected to receive the maximum amount of precipitation during this time,” he added.
