UPSC recruitment test for EFPO conducted successfully across all 17 centres at Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 2: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) on Sunday conducted two recruitment tests in Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), 2023 throughout 78 cities across India out of which Srinagar was also designated for Kashmir born Candidates.
The Recruitment Test for Accounts Officer/ Enforcement Officer (AO/EO/) was held in forenoon while as Recruitment Test for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) was held in afternoon in 17 centres across Srinagar
The office of the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir was appointed as Coordinating and Supervising authority by the UPSC for the conduct of Recruitment Tests.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir had appointed 17 Inspecting Officers for the said centres in compliance to the measures undertaken for Strengthening the process of conducting Commission’s Examination.
Further the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar had nominated Mobile Magistrates for each venue.
A meeting in connection with ensuring necessary arrangements and smooth conduct of said Examination was called by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in his office on Saturday, which was attended by all Principals/ Venue Coordinators, Inspecting Officers and representatives of Police, Security & Traffic respectively.
On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, the Assistant Commissioner Central visited all the 17 centers on Saturday and took stock of all the arrangements.
The total number of candidates which were supposed to attend the recruitment test for the posts of Accounts Officer & Accounts Officer in EPFO was 5835, however the examination was only attended by 2634 candidates and 6326 number of candidates had registered for the posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner but only 2732 candidates attended the examination respectively, making the overall present percentage for both Recruitment Tests at 43%.
The examination concluded in all the centers smoothly without any untoward incident.
