DC Poonch inaugurates Shilaphallakam at Panchayat Ghar Jhulaas

Poonch, Aug 10: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary Thursday paid a visit to Panchayat Jhullas Lower, where he inaugurated the newly constructed Shilaphallakam at Panchayat Ghar Jhulaas.
The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Poonch, Abid Hussain Shah, DPO Poonch, Chanderkant Bhagat, BDO Poonch, Pyt Jhulaas, Akansha Gupta, and Dr. Benazir Youseef from Ayush Health and Wellness Centre Jhulaas besides Sarpanch, Panch, and locals of their area.
Under the campaign “Meri Mati Mera Desh,” Deputy Commissioner actively interacted with students, fostering a sense of patriotism among them. The event commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a heartfelt tribute to the families of the bereaved martyrs.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner took the Panch Pran Pledge while holding a handful of mitti symbolizing the connection between the land and the well-being of the nation.
Furthermore, he planted a sapling, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
In addition to inaugurating the Shilaphallakam, Deputy Commissioner Choudhary also inspected the Ayush Health and Wellness Centre Jhulaas. Dr. Benazir Youseef, shared insights about the center’s initiatives and its positive impact on the health of the local residents.
