Srinagar, Aug 17: The ATM guards of Jammu and Kashmir Bank here on Thursday staged a protest, demanding justice and job security.
“We are the ATM guards from the North, South, and Srinagar areas. We have gathered here because J&K Bank is terminating our guards’ enmasse from both the South and Srinagar districts. We are waiting for a favourable decision until August 22, following which a future course of action will be decided,” said the protesting guards.
“Our ATM guards have also been devoted to J&K Bank, and we have even worked during tough times like COVID-19. We would like to ask the bank to rehire these dismissed guards at an earliest,” they added.
