The measures taken by the government for ensuring transparency in governance has brought laurels as Jammu and Kashmir has topped the list in e-governance service delivery by providing over 1028 services in online mode for citizens, institutions, and business establishments. In the National e-services Delivery Assessment (NeSDA) report released by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, J&K secured the topmost position with an impressive 1028 e-services, surpassing Madhya Pradesh with 1010 e-services and Kerala with 911 e-services. Notably, five more online services have been launched by the Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta Monday, which has taken the number of e-governance service deliveries to 1033 in J&K. The J&K has not only topped the list, but the administration by introducing the facilities and services to the people have made their lives easy as the frequent visits to the different departments across Jammu & Kashmir have significantly come to an end while the allegations of discrimination and other related things too have come to an end. Such facilities were not only the need of the hour, but it was imperative to come up with a solution for eradicating corruption from the society as besides the strict action against the officials involved in corrupt practices, the government has paved the way for the people to get their works done without making any room for the corruption. It is imperative to go ahead with such services and more such initiatives are needed to ensure transparency in the government departments and completely eradicate the corruption from Jammu & Kashmir.
