When answers raise more questions

The war against drugs is going at a different level in Jammu and Kashmir with the government taking several measures to curb the menace; there is a need to tackle the situation at the grassroots level. It has been observed that the people, especially those of young age, are getting indulged in the drug menace. The situation cannot be controlled until and unless the society in general and parents as well as the teachers in particular will play their key role in curbing the drug menace at their homes and educational institutions respectively. Already grim situation is turning from bad to worse, but what needs to be done is to come up with co-curricular activities at the schools, which would attract the youngsters towards sports and other things and simultaneously help in curbing the drug menace. At this juncture, the teachers should make a plan and indulge the youngsters into co-curricular activities. On topmost priority, the schools must keep a day for the co-curricular activities like sports and other things, which would not only help in curbing the drug menace but would also help in identifying the hidden talent among the young students, considered as the future of the nation. It is the time when the government should give a nod to the co-curricular activities once in a week so that the children could be attracted towards sports, painting, singing and other activities, which would help the society to curb the rising drug menace from Jammu & Kashmir. The sincere efforts at this juncture are needed to bring a respite from the rising drug menace.
