Rising Cyber threats in J&K

After the Smart City projects came up in Srinagar and beautification of many areas including the footpaths in the commercial Hub Lal Chowk, the areas adjacent to the prominent business market witnessed a breathing space on the roads as the street vendors have been removed from the congested roads here with an aim to ensure hassle free movement to the commuters. It was a much-awaited and necessary decision to remove the street vendors from the main markets as the commuters had to face tremendous hardships while passing through these routes as the street vendors would otherwise occupy a major chunk of road, paving less space for the vehicles to commute. But, at multiple places in the commercial Hub Lal Chowk, these street vendors are being allowed to carry out their affairs despite the government coming up with the unique initiative of providing the space vending zones to them. One fails to understand why the huge chunk of amount has been wasted when the street vendors are not ready to shift to the vending zones, which would have provided a sigh of relief to the commuters while passing through these roads. It is time when all the street vendors should be removed from the roadsides for the hassle free movement of the commuters as well as the pedestrians. They should be immediately shifted to the place kept specifically for them so that the amount spent for the cause will not be wasted and the measures taken for their wellbeing will serve the cause.
