Srinagar, Nov 1: For the very first time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered 25 bedded hospital has been made functional at Nowgam in Srinagar on Wednesday.
Owner of Medstar Medical Hospital Dr Samiullah said that ordinary facilities are available at every hospital but AI is helping in making diagnosis perfect.
He said that there remains chances of human error while reporting any diagnosis or something things can be missed but AI based machines help in assisting so that there won’t be any error and nothing is being missed.
He said that patients need not to go outside for treatment as all such facilities are available now that they are getting outside.
He said that even poor patients can get treatment here on a golden card.
Dr Mehwish Guroo, Director of the hospital said that AI has become an important part of the doctors for screening and diagnosis thereby helping in treatment.
She said that AI is a second opinion in the form of diagnosis and it helps in any kind of diagnosis.
AI can be used to help answer questions about medications, forward reports to doctors or surgeons and help patients schedule a visit with a physician, she said.
AI-enabled robots could be used to work around sensitive organs and tissues to help reduce blood loss, infection risk and post-surgery pain, she further added.
“AI has the potential to improve the healthcare user experience and could mean better health monitoring and preventive care besides it could be used to increase efficiency in healthcare diagnoses,” Dr Guroo said.
The use AI brings to health systems is making gathering and sharing information easier. AI can help providers keep track of patient data more efficiently, she added.
