The aspirations and the hopes are high among the people as the efforts by the government are being made to help the poor section of the society to come out from poverty and live a healthy life. The government has set an audacious goal of eradicating poverty entirely from Jammu and Kashmir by the year 2024. This ambitious endeavor, Zero Poverty 2024, seeks to address the long-standing issues that have affected the lives of the common people in the region and pave the way for inclusive growth and prosperity. The Zero Poverty 2024 initiative is a comprehensive strategy that encompasses a wide range of measures designed to uplift the most vulnerable sections of society and empower them to lead dignified lives. It is believed that the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra—a programme launched by the government is one of the measures to end the poverty from Jammu & Kashmir as the people through this initiative are being made aware about the government schemes and benefits, which would help them to avail the benefits and thus simultaneously help them in a way to end the poverty as well. Making people aware of the schemes is aimed to help them start afresh, therefore, to achieve the target of the government, it is imperative to join the fight at this juncture. The general public must participate in such events and programmes so that the awareness is created among the masses, which would help them to avail the benefits.
