Jammu, Jan 29: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana Tuesday said that holding of ceasefire on Line of Control and peace across the Union Territory has transformed Jammu and Kashmir with the people deriving dividends of the obtaining peaceful scenario.
“With the single-minded and resolute approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the roaring of guns on the Line of Control has silenced and peaceful atmosphere across the hinterland has given new wings to holistic development and economic transformation in both the regions and the sub-regions of the Union Territory”, he said while addressing a gathering organized by NGO “Hum Sath Sath Hain” at Khour, adjacent to Line of Control.
He recalled the nightmarish border skirmishes uprooting dwellers from their homes and hearths and entire activity coming to standstill due to intermittent ceasefire violations, saying the horrendous era ended due to proactive response from New Delhi. Now the border dwellers are engaged in productive activities without any fear, schools are functioning normally and the despondency of leaving homes has become a gruesome reality of the past, he added.
“This is the real time change under a strong Indian leadership”, Mr Rana said while referring to the obtaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir in general and the Kashmir Valley in particular. He said peoples’ tryst with peace has unnerved Pakistan, its lackeys on both sides of the Line of Control and the ecosystem that has been responsible for providing oxygen to separatist tendencies among fringe elements.
Rana lambasted those echoing doubts about peace and border life going as a usual norm, saying the tourist footfall from across the country and abroad, even during these winter months, is exposing their sinister propaganda. Similarly, the developmental odyssey and economic activities speak of changing Jammu and Kashmir post repeal of Article 370, which ended and exposed all those believing in deceit and duplicity.
Devender Rana exuded confidence that the people would foil the game plan of negative elements, who were feeling uncomfortable on the face of unprecedented and inclusive development scaling new heights, welfare scheme being implemented with renewed vigour and large scale investments pouring in to carve out Naya Jammu and Kashmir as per the vision of Prime Minister Yashasvi Modiji, as per his vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas. He also hoped that the right thinking people will take cognizance of negative entities and stand for the economic interests of lakhs of families, who have got a reason to cheer during the past one decade.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Suraj Singh, DDC Vice chairman, Jugal Dogra, Prabhari, Sunil Prajapati, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Narinder Singh Bhau, Pardeep Choudhary, State Kisaan Morcha Vice President, Monu Verma NGO President “Hum Sath Sath Hain”, Sanjeev Singh Langeh, Dr Sonia Verma, Raj Kumar District Publicity Secretary, Janak Kumar OBC District President, Satish Raina, President Khour Market Committee, Balveer Singh Ex Captain Army, Sukhdev Singh Principal Jagrati Shiksha Kendra.
